CHEC registration for Spring 2025 term will open on Saturday, February 22nd at 9am. A full list of spring classes is available for preview HERE.
As many of you know, we are transitioning to a new website/registration system, so there is LOTS of NEW and important info here to ensure that you have a smooth registration experience.
REMINDER - Both new and returning families will need to create an account on CHEC's new website in order to register. Waiting until registration to create your account will slow down your enrollment experience significantly. Details about how to create your account are listed above. Creating your account prior to registration and reading through the notes below will help facilitate a quick and easy check out when registration opens.
HOW CAN I REGISTER? - Once registration opens, visit https://cvillechec.jumbula.com/current-classes Option 1: click on the 'Multi-Registration' button to get started. The Multi-Registration option is what most of our families will choose and will allow you to register multiple students (one at a time) for multiple classes. This option cuts down on the number of times you will have to verify information and sign waivers/forms.

Once you get to the step where you can Review and Submit Payment, there will be an option at the top of the screen to 'Select classes for a new participant'. Selecting this option will take you back to the page where you will click the Multi-Registration button and select classes additional classes for the same student or classes for your next student. You can repeat this for as many students as you have before checking out.

Option 2: From the schedule, click the 'Class Registration' button next to the class on the schedule you wish to register for and proceed through check out. This is best for those registering a single student for a single class.

DO CLASSES FILL UP QUICKLY? Please plan to register as soon as registration opens if you have high priority class choices, as we always have some classes that fill up very quickly.
WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS? - Please choose PAY IN FULL and Pay using the PAYPAL option during check out.
HOW CAN I USE A CREDIT ON MY ACCOUNT TOWARD REGISTRATION PAYMENT? When you are in the final step of registration (Review & Submit), There will be an option saying "Do you want to apply family credit?" with the amount of your current credit displayed. Move the slider to yes if you wish to put credit toward your payment and proceed with check out.
WHAT IF I AM APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIP OR NEED A PAYMENT PLAN? If you are applying for a scholarship or need to set up a payment plan, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible prior to registration to ensure a smooth enrollment experience. If you have submitted a scholarship request or have a payment plan in place with our treasurer, you will select the PAYMENT PLAN option and PAY IN FULL using PAYPAL for your reduced payment due at the time of registration.
HOW CAN I REQUEST AN AGE EXCEPTION FOR MY STUDENT? - In the past, CHEC students could be registered for a class as long as they would be the required age by the end of the term. Our new system is set up to require a student to be within the required age range by the start of classes (March 17th 2025). If you would like to request an age exception for your child (to take a course whose age range is above or below the limit), please email [email protected]. Please note that first preference is given to students who fall within the age guidelines for the class. If space is still available after the initial registration rush, the registrar will reach out to the teacher to determine whether or not they are open to accepting students outside of the specified age range and proceed accordingly.
HOW DO WAITLISTS WORK IN THE NEW SYSTEM? - If a class is full, it will be indicated on the class page and during checkout. You will still be able to add a full class to your cart if you would like to be added to the waitlist. Once you get to the step where you Review and Submit Payment you can opt to be added to the waitlist and check out without being charged for waitlist class(es). CHEC will reach out to waitlist students in the order they were added to the waitlist if a teacher decides to open up a few more spots, or if a space opens up due to a student dropping the class prior to the start of the term. On some occasions in the past, teachers of waitlist classes have even added another class period option of the class to accommodate large waitlists, or have offered it in a subsequent term with priority going to past waitlisted students.
WHAT IF I NEED TO DROP OR CHANGE A CLASS AFTER REGISTRATION? - Please reach out to [email protected] to request schedule changes or to drop a class. Prior to the late registration deadline of March 3rd, 2025, class drops can be made without incurring a fee. After the add/drop deadline there is a $25 processing charge for each dropped class. If you enroll in a replacement class, the charge is waived. Refunds, minus the drop charge, can be issued through the first week of classes. After March 22, 2025, there will be no refunds.
WHY DO SOME CLASSES ALREADY HAVE STUDENTS ENROLLED? Our new system does not display the number of students enrolled for a class, however, you might see a class showing that there are only 1 2 or 3 spots left, or even a class that is already full and taking only waitlist registrations prior to registration opening. This happens due to a number of early enrollments. Teachers are able to enroll their own kids in their classes prior to registration opening. Officers of CHEC receive the benefit of early registration as a thank you for their leadership volunteering. There are also a small number of classes that offer priority registration to returning students (e.g. CHECstra classes to promote cohort continuity and past term low enrollment or waitlist classes offering priority to past enrolled or waitlisted students).
Please contact [email protected] with any questions! Remember that the morning of registration is very busy and hiccups are expected with our new system. Volunteers are usually working through questions and schedule changes for most of the weekend and will answer questions via email in the order they are received.
