Embroidery, needlework, fiber arts
Wagon wheels, lazy daisies, French knots and more! These are just a few of the stitches we'll learn in this class. Each week students will work on an embroidery project and learn how to execute different stitches, creating colorful works of art. We'll embroider on fabric, tea towels, and make an ornament or a necklace, or add embroidery to enhance a piece of clothing. Students will use patterns, which often incorporate flowers and animals, to learn various stitches. We will work on composing our own original patterns and by end of term create personal and unique works of art!
