Description

Introduction to music

Sail the Musician-Ship introduces students to music through deep listening, improvisational games, and group songwriting exercises. The program aims to deepen music appreciation, teach basic musical concepts, and cultivate creativity, confidence, and collaboration through musical practice. No previous musical experience necessary. Learn more about MIMA's approach to music education at mimamusic.org. 
 

If the student plays an instrument, they are invited to bring them to each class.

General CHEC class dates are listed separately on this page. Please reference the following modifications to that schedule for this class only: We will not hold class on Monday March 17th. Will use the makeup day on May 19th.
